Sun Drop is a brand of soda that was originally released in 1949. It has a citrus like taste that's made with a mix of lemon-lime and orange.
The brand has switched owners multiple times over the years. Originally being acquired by Crush Soda (when they were still an independent company) in 1979. In 1980, the Crush Brand, and Sun Drop along with it, was acquired by Procter & Gamble. In 1989, P&G sold all of their soda brands to the Cadbury-Schweppes company. Cadbury & Schweppes split up into separate companies in 2008, with the soda side of the company eventually merging with Dr Pepper Snapple Group, which later merged with the Keurig coffee company to become Keurig Dr Pepper. Currently, Keurig Dr Pepper still manufacture and sell the Sun Drop brand.
Sun Drop is a regional brand as it can only be found in the Southwest and Midwest regions of the United States.
