Slice was a brand of sodas originally launched by PepsiCo in 1984.
In 1993, Slice was released in the country of India as more of a mango fruit drink, and less of a soda.
While the lemon-lime flavor of Slice (as well as their sister brand, Storm) was replaced with Sierra Mist in 2000, the Slice brand was still available until 2005, when it was permanently discontinued.
Relaunch attempts[]
A year after the drink was originally discontinued in 2006, the Slice brand was relaunched as a diet only soda known as Slice One, which was sold exclusively at Walmart locations. Slice One was discontinued shortly after.
In 2018, a new company unrelated to PepsiCo, acquired the Slice trademark, and relaunched the drink with was appears to be a different formula that is natural and contains no added sugar. In 2022, the logo was changed to more closely reflect the original slice logo. This attempt at relaunching the slice brand seems to be successful as it is currently still in production.
PepsiCo Pakistan still sells the Mango Fruit version of Slice.
