History[]
Pep-Kola was assumingly introduced sometime in 1896, as that was the earliest known advertisement that mentions it.[1] They were acquired by competitor Brad's Drink in 1898, with Pep-Kola quickly being phased out, and Brad's Drink changing their name to Pepsi that same year.[2] PepsiCo acquired the trademark for "Pep-Kola" beginning in 1905.[3]
