Limca is a brand of Lemon-Lime flavored soda sold in the country of India.
History[]
Limca was originally introduced in 1977 by Parle (now known as Bisleri), a manufacturer of bottled water which also owned several different soda brands throughout the country. In 1993, Parle sold all of their soda brands, including Limca, to The Coca-Cola Company, most likely in an attempt to focus more on their water sales.
Despite Limac's sister brand Citra being discontinued in favor of Sprite, which has a similar Lemon-Lime flavor, Limca still remains to be a popular brand with consumers and is still being sold to this day.
They also makes a drink similar to Gatorade known as Limca Sprotz.
