Guaraná Antarctica is a Guarana flavored soda originating from Brazil. It was created in 1921 by Pedro Baptista de Andrade, who wanted to expand his beer company into soft drink territory. It has since become a staple in Brazilian drinks, and made its way to many stores in countries across the globe.

  • Many compare the taste of this soda to Red Bull. Red Bull does contain some guarana in it, though it’s not the main flavor.
    • Despite guarana being a plant, numerous people say that this drink tastes similar an apple, banana, or a berry Ginger ale.
