History[]

Fanta Lemon-Lime got first released in the United States in 1960 in the original lineup. This lineup consisted of Orange Soda, Ginger Ale, Root Beer, Lemon-Lime Soda, and Imitation Grape Soda.

After one year of production, it was subsequently renamed to Sprite in 1961, lasting for an entire year before being rebranded.

Clear Lemon Fanta was released originally in Germany in 1959. Its flavor featured lemon, while the United States and Canada featured lemon-lime.

Canada[]

Fanta Lemon-Lime got introduced following the American release of Fanta Lemon-Lime in the same year. It got rebranded when Fanta Lemon-Lime got subsequently rebranded to Sprite the following year.
