In May 2007, Coca-Cola Vanilla was re-released due to high demand resulting in Diet Coke Black Cherry Vanilla and Coca-Cola Black Cherry Vanilla to be discontinued in summer 2007 in both countries due to a backlash from Coca-Cola Vanilla.

Diet Coke Black Cherry Vanilla was a variant of Diet Coke which was brown in color, similar to Coca-Cola Black Cherry Vanilla and Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla. Its flavor is the same as Diet Coke, but with added Black Cherry Vanilla flavor.
