The flavor was originally introduced in cans and bottles in 2005. Coca-Cola discounted the lime flavor in 2007, however, this only applied to the United States, as Coca-Cola Lime was, and still is, sold in cans and bottles throughout various countries across the world.
Coca-Cola re-released the flavor to the United States in 2009, as an exclusive flavor to their Freestyle machines.
Coca-Cola Lime is considered part of the Coca-Cola Flavours line, and also has a zero sugar variant, in various international countries.
